lieutenants vs assassins

Recommended Posts

Just wondering why is it that hockeymonkey is selling the lieutenants for less then the assassins. from what i remember the lieutenants were the model below the boss skate. Is it that there is a problem with them like with the wickeds were they were to stiff and now there selling for big discounts.

dont think they are having any issues. They could possibly be:

- limited sizes

- assassins are continued into this year's line, while the LT would be followed up with the Commander Black.

Just what I was going to say, if they discounted the assasins like they did the rest of the 08 line, then they would effectivly be selling a 2009 model skate at closeout prices, and that wouldn't make sense... although hardly any reason to buy them while they still have lieutenants so much cheaper.

don't get the assassins, I've been skating once a week with them and they turned soft on me. $300 and they don't even last a year. I've been disappointed in mission lately.

so with this new black series of skates is there any cons of purchasing the lieutenants over the new soldier blacks.

and what exactly was modified on the black series

You really can't even compare the two skates. There is no doubt in my mind that the Soldier Black will feel better out of the box. However, it is one of the lower end models in the Syndicate Black line, the Lieutenant will definitely last longer than the Soldier Black. If you want the best of both worlds, I would go with the Commander or Boss Black.

Many people complained about ankle pain in the original Syndicate line. The Syndicate Black skates should not have any such pain. The Boss Black is made with Surlyn (The heat-moldable material used in the NBH One95). I skate on the Boss Black and can honestly say it is the best skate Ive ever worn. There isn't a skate out there that fits like it. The people I know wearing the Commander Black have had nothing but good to say about that skate as well. I think that the Syndicate Black line fits much better than the original Syndicate. But as far as performance and new technology, and a great looking skate, you can't go wrong with any skate in the Syndicate Black line. But as the world goes, the more you spend, the more satisfied you SHOULD be with your skate.
