Skate Rockering/Profiling/Contouring

Recommended Posts

So, I just got some XXVs through hockey monkey in a size 11.5 because I have a size 13 shoe, and I tried on another pair of 11.5 bauers before. So, they fit perfect, then I got them baked, and they fit even better, but now I have like 1/4" of toe space because my heel is locked in better. Is this the cause of all the backward lean I got when I first skated on them? Or do I just need to get them profiled? One last thing, does anyone have a site or anything that can tell my all about profiling blades?

Thanks! :D

Most who skate on Bauers feel like they are on their heels. I recommend you skate a minimum 6 times on your new skates before you consider doing anything. You may find you like it, or you may not. Give you body time to adapt, if you don't then consider profiling.
