Easton S15 Skates

I have a pair of S15 custom shop skates.I had them done w/foam tongues.I wear my tongues outside my shin guards and want to get conventional felt or cotton tongues put on them.I noticed the tongues are riveted in.Is this possible and does anyone know where?

I have the same issue with them shifting but not anything extreme. I actually found that they have molded to me with the shift and fit better than straight on. Mine shift outward if it makes any diff.

On a side note I also where them under my shins. Still my favorit skates .

in mine i was getting lacebite because i didnt fill the volume of the top of the boot around the ankle area. so i had the tongues lined with felt and that has gotten rid of all problems

yea mine shift to the outside as well, i know exactly what you're saying, i think my lace bite issue may be cause i'm tying to tight

That was my problem exactly. I stopped lacing the top eyelet and that helped. In the future, I will probably avoid molded tongues like the S15s and look for good ole felt.

I have the felt tounge on my customs s15's. They too shift to one side, but they are wider than the stock tounges, so it is OK. Decreases volume, but does help with any lacebite issues on may have.

I had the same problems with mine. After trying a couple different things I got these...

http://www.bungapads.com/store.cfm/ses_/de...e%20Bite%20Pad/

Lacebite 100% gone.

I should of went that route, instead I ended up taking the skate tongues off of my old z-airs and put them on my S11's. That also helped with the lace bite but with a tad bit more work.

thats too bad, maybe a repair shop would be better for this?

mine had the felt simply glued on, others have had it sewn on as well, both have worked very well
