least expensive synthetic ice?

I've been looking around the internet, and I sort of haven't been able to quite find the best answer for this, so... Does anyone know what the least expensive synthetic ice is? It's so hard to find evening ice times around here, that I have been considering this more and more. Any answers appreciated, thank you!

Synthetic ice to stand and shoot pucks off of? HDPE. Or are we talking about synthetic ice that you can lace your skates up on? The latter being my assumption.

Well I guess you would be looking at the 3/8s thickness.

I believe you are going to pay around 8-9.00 a sf based on my looking around.

I intend on doing this for my son in a few years if he sticks with hockey. I remeber doing an estimate and for a useable surface you are looking at like 3-4k.

Basically you are not going to find some barn burner deal on this stuff if thats what you are looking for. The are all around the range of 8-11 a sf is what I found

If you have a local Puckmasters franchise (find puckmasters on the web). Call and see if they have the prospeed surface and maybe go try it and see if you like it.

I have a buddy who ended up buying used and he likes it.
