wetwilly17 6 Report post Posted January 2, 2011 on their website they compare the Green Biscuit to "competitors" pucks but fail to mention that minus the FlyPuck, the other pucks can be shot. You cant shoot the Green Biscuit...are there any ice hockey style training pucks that you can shoot? the only pucks i know of that you can actually shoot are inline pucks and feel more like an inline puck (lighter). also the inline pucks with their 6 or 8 skid "pads" on each side aren't near as stable. they work great on inline surfaces but not so well on less than perfect surfaces. that is where the green biscuit excels. Gr8erade 1 Report post Posted January 2, 2011 It is what it is..... a stick handling aid. And it has worked pretty well for me. If you want something to shoot with, this isn't it. And its not meant to be.

With that being said, I will order a Green Biscuit to work on my stick handling off ice but if they want to do a comparison, stick with Apples to Apples. The only other "training puck" in that board slide test was the FlyPuck.
sharks25 9 Report post Posted January 3, 2011 I've used a Turbo Puck, it slides nicely outdoor and its around the weight of a ice Puck. Its shootable and doesn't flip very much. Best outdoor Puck I've used. Get one of those if you wanna shoot, but when buying a "stickhanding aid" like a green biscuit don't expect to be able to shoot with it! Get one of those if you wanna shoot, but when buying a "stickhanding aid" like a green biscuit don't expect to be able to shoot with it!I have a turbo puck and an 8oz flypuck as well. The turbo puck's balance is off (center peg is not level) and the flypuck bounces a lot. The turbo puck works fine for shooting and the turbo puck is good for muscle memory, but the Green puck is the most accurate off-ice puck I've played with so far. Propuck makes a puck called the Iceguy which is a 5.5oz shootable roller puck. Only reason I haven't tried the iceguy is because I cant justify spending $40 on the box of 6 yet. I'll get a box eventually. But for now, the biscuit and flypuck are both adequate.
Zylos45 118 Report post Posted January 8, 2011 purchased The Green Biscut last week from Pure Hockey pretty good so far. I have been using it in my garage and it slides very nicely.Does hop every once in a while with really quick stickhandling but that is to be expected- Z45
SHARK_city_WIZEGUY 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2011 easily the best practice puck ive owned. if you dont have one, get one. its amazing how well it slidesw on rough surfaces. i did notice it seems to slide better on a rough surface (street asphalt) than on a tennis court for example. but still, its with out a doubt, one of the best practice tools you can own
BCheetham93 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2011 Had one for a while now. I use it before games to warm my hands up, even on the black rubber material in ice rinks, it still slides really well. Highly rec recommended!

sharks25 9 Report post Posted January 16, 2011 ^ not as good as a green biscuit. If you like that check out the Turbo Puck. The monkey has them. they're probably my favorite Puck for outdoor.

pby 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2011 I got a green biscuit recently. Its very good overall but I think it falls a little short on the feel and only surpassed by the smarthockey ball. Other than that its highly recommended!
