Skate blade width

Are all hockey skate blades the same width, or do they differ? If they're all the same width, does anyone know the exact size?

If they differ, do they only differ between jr. and sr. skates, or do they differ by brand/manufacturer?

On average, player skates 3mm, goalie skates 4mm. Not sure about JR/SR differences though.

Widths vary from skate to skate and between manufacturers. Most are 2.9, but CCM's range from 2.6-2.9, Bauers from 2.8-3.1, and the others in that range as well. There is no consistency. Left skate can be 2.7 and right skate 3.0. Mass production is to blame. Heights can be off as well. It's frustrating for the skate sharpener because adjustments have to be made if you want level edges. Plus if you have a 3.0 on the left skate and a 2.7 on the right, the 3.0 will feel sharper with the same hollow.
