Hockey Sponserships

I'm just curious if anyone has ever bought from a company because they support hockey at any level, or perhaps chosen a product from one company over another due to said support? Was just thinking about the topic as I got my new computer today. I had been comparing a Dell and a HP model, no significant difference in price or features. I went with the HP because of the money they put in the Sharks' arena. Can't say it's ever happened before, but I thought it might make an interesting topic.

You posted any level so a definite yes here. We support the sponsors of our kids teams and let them know where we heard about them.

i go to specsavers and they sponosr us. I also buy fruit and veg from a market stall that one of our sponsors (and a fellow players dad) owns.

switched from staples to office depot to support them for supporting tony stewart :o ... But I can see supporting a company that supports a rink/game/team.

But in contrast, I wont wear a blank widgit because some athlete wears a blank widgit.

Yes, on the local level but the national and city sponsorship levels also have no impact on me. Similarly I wouldn't buy an HP PC because they stink and Dell has much better customer service! Hmmm... I think thats a discussion for another BBS.

Perhaps a bit off topic, but the problem with that is if HP stinks then so does Dell, the computers are being built using the same parts from the same companies. Also I hated that stoner idiot that Dell used to have on their ads until, surprise surprise, he got popped for possession.
