pulling the sicore blade out

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I know there have been topics on pulling blades out in the past. I recently managed to jam the shaft of my sicore over the blade about a 1/4 inch. My question is can I pull the blade out of one of these easily? I've done it with 2 XX's and a response, I'm just wary of doing it with the sicore cause its by far my favorite stick of all time, But I also don't want to snap it at the blade and not be able to use the blade.

Any help is appreciated.

You can't PULL it out, but you can certainly convert it. You have to cut it and then use a combination of heat, flat head screw driver, and hammer to "chisel" the interior remnants of the old tenon.

Try some of these topics:

There are really no shortage of info on it.

Good luck!

The sicore works as a composite shaft if you can cut right above the old blade hosel. Should save you a little trouble.

And you won't be able to keep the blade. It's not like a warrior where you can just pull it apart as two separate pieces with no trouble.
