Need help

Recommended Posts

So I have a pair of 972 tacks, I was re-tying them on the bench and bent the little metal ring that snaps down, all I needed to do was bend it back on with some pliers but I left the stupid thing on the bench. Seeing as it is there in place of a hole for the lace I can't even tie my skates properly. Anybody know where I could find a piece to replace it?

I guess a hockey shop should have been the first place to look...

Thanks guys, I'll have to stock up on them cause I have a feeling this wont be the last time that happens.

I haven't heard of many problems with them, and I haven't had problems with mine for a good eight months. But for a buck a piece, why not get a couple? They are honestly my favorite part of the RBK 9Ks I have.

Ditto to the locks durability. I've had mine for 4 yrs, no problems. Try not to pull up on the laces when latching or unlatching the lace lock as this will break the D ring. Instead, to release the locks pull the laces straight out to the sides, and to lock pull up and over. hard to explain in writing. Many coaches who tie kids skates break the locks from doing it incorrectly.
