canadian_man_44 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2009 Ok, so from what a few people have said about the CCM 4.5 Edge skates, I have decided to possibly go a different route. I've found what appears to be a good deal on Easton Z-Air Hockey Skates. I won't bother telling you the price as I don't want answers like "it's a good deal for the price". Just some honest opinions on what you guys think of the skates.
jimmy 194 Report post Posted April 4, 2009 Heavy skate. Steel has been discontinued and impossible to find replacement if you were to break a runner. Holders are discontinued as well, although likelihood of them breaking are slim. Still, if priced right, not a bad skate.
Biaggi 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2009 Its a very comfortable boot, almost no break in time. But a pain in the ass to get sharpened. If you get a good deal I would opt for new holders too, but overall a great skate.
westcoastsniper 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2009 Tie bricks attached to bob skates to your feet and you'll get the feeling of skating around in these things, If they were less than forty dollars I would pick em up, but anything more, fuggedaboutit
Invert 13 Report post Posted April 4, 2009 You seem to be looking for a good deal on a higher end skate.I'd recommendthe Mission Wicked with coupon code "WICKED" you can get them for $99. Everything I've read, ignore the E size, they fit like a D. They are also a SMU makeup of the Mission Fuel AGX.
canadian_man_44 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2009 Definitely some nice skates there. I'm going to check them out. Anymore coupon codes available? :D So, from what people are saying, the Easton Z-Air is a heavy skate. What would you compare them to? Anyone know how much they weigh?
