Old school CCM helmet?

What is the model number for the classic old school CCM helmet like Gomez still wears? 352? 392? They had it on Hockeymonkey several months ago, but no more. Anyone know where these might be available for purchase? Thanks in advance for any responses.

thanks for responses. I believe it is indeed the HT2 that I was thinking of. But I can't find that anywhere on line for my size. I only find a few sites with junior size helments. It looks like it is discontinued? Is the 492 the new version of HT2? Or is it actually the same helmet with new name?

492 is not the same thing, the ear protection is molded on and the chin strap comes off that, not traditional ear loops. Same as how the 3500 looks almost the same as a 4500 from Bauer, but they are not the same helmets.

The fit of the HT2 vs. the 652 & 492 are NOT comparable either. The VN foam in the HT2 is a little thinner and provides a slightly more 'rounded' fit. The 652 & 492 have more of a 'rectangular fit.'

You know, because CCM unlocked the mystery that most of us have rectangular-shaped heads! lol

I miss the fit of the HT2.

I can't comment on the fit of the newer Vector 08, 04 and the new 05.

okay, finally getting a handle on all this. It looks like HD2 no longer produced retail, and can't even find one in my size L on ebay. There seems to be one large gold helmet available on a sporting store site Best Buy Hockey, I never thought of having a gold helmet, but it even warns that "discontinued itiem, subject to availability". Perhaps I'll give it a whirl.

HD2, 492 and 652 apparently have the same shell, the difference being lining and as one poster mentioned, earpiece.

I played in the HD2 for years when younger, what a great helmet. Why couldn't they just leave the dang thing alone?
