Mission fuel 120 or CCM V8.0 pants?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys.First of all...I am new to this site-what a fantastic place! :)

Now to my question?I have searched through the forum and didnt quite get what i wanted.I am in aserch for new pants. The most important thing i am looking for is a good tailbone protector since i ha a surgery in that area and i really need a good protection there(i feel once right on my tailbone and couldnt walk straight for a month). I am thinking between M.Fuel 120 pants and CCM V8.0 le pants(it says that they have an upgraded tailbone protection).Which of the 2 would you reccomend? The problem for me is that I live in Serbia and we have no hockey shops here and I must order online so I can not try before buying... Thank you a lot on all your answers in advance since they will help me alot to decide.

P.S.If you have any other models-i am open to suggestions. And sorry if my english is to bad. :D

Doesn't really answer your question about which pants to get... but I love the XXXX core pad. Take a look at it. If you search my posts I have a review on here somewhere.

Also, I've ordered a good amount of equipment from Ice Warehouse... Never had any problems.

Does anyone know how mission pants fit?I am looking to buy mission fuel 120 pants but i dont know in which size.I am around 5'8(around 173-174 cm) and my waist is around 88cm(around 34,35"),and have 78kg(little under 180lbs).Mission charts suggest i should take size L but I currently wear easton pants in size M and they fit me good and as i can see easton sizing chart is the same as mission/itech sizes.Advice, please? I must order online and can not try anywhere.

I have a pair of Mission Fuel 90's in size medium. My waist is probably 32" (wear 33's in pants but they're loose), and I have to tighten to belt up as far as it'll go for my pants to be tight. They're a little short on me, and I'm about 6'1. A medium would probably work fine for you.

I agree 100% with HatrickSwayze. I am 5'7'' 175lbs with a 32inch waist and I just bought Fuel 110 pants in a medium. I also have to tighten the belts all the way but I get the fit I want. Very comfortable pant with very good mobility in both hips and knees. Also keep in mind there is a feature on the pant that will allow you to adjust the height of the pant if needed. I recommend that you go with the medium.

OK guys thank you sooo much! :) I also thought to go with the medium but when i saw those charts, although i know they are useless most of the time :D,i was a little worried that M wouldn't fit.just another question-What is the tailbone protection in missions like?I heard it is quite good...and if you maybe know...are 120's much bulkier than say 110's?Fuel 120 is really a overkill for what i need but i need good tailbone protection, but i don't wanna sacrifice movement, and feel like i am wearing a tire around my waist :), and everything else just because of that? From the little reviews i found on mission fuel line in general and fuel 120 they should be quite mobile and light...or am i wrong?

Both the Fuel 120 and the CCM 08 have good tailbone protection and I'd recommend either pant. The front thigh pad on the legs are one solid piece and are not hinged like on Tackla, Graf or Easton pants. Both models also come with leg zippers on the inside of the leg. I've found that Mission pants are extremely well ventilated compared to most other models ,which is a plus. The 120's are a pro level pant with very good protective qualities and I don't blame you on going a bit overkill to protect yourself ,considering you've already had an operation on your tail bone. The price of Mission equipment is also very reasonable and it makes me sad to see that Mission/Itech was bought up by Bauer because it takes away one of the more inexpensive and innovative equipment manufacturers.
