Skate Size Question

Recommended Posts

I have some 10D 2009 Mission Commader skates that fit well (I haven't broken them in yet, i hear they feel bigger after you break them in), and some Bauer Vapor XIV from 07 I think that are size 9.5D and fit perfect too.

Hope that helps

so, for you, I would say 8D, but if you can, go to a store and try some on.

Mission inline skates are sized in US shoe size, so you'd want a 7D, not an 8D to start in a Bauer skate.

They're really not, for the umptillionth time.

8 is a good estimate, I wear 8 Vapor and 8.5 Mission in a size 10 shoe

I really wish they would go with EUR sizing across the board for hockey skates. I have two pairs of CCM's, Vector 110ZGs and Externo E-50's. The Externos are size 9, but EUR size 43. The Vectors are 8.5, but EUR size 43. It is ridiculous how much skate sizing changes.

Yeah, they claim it's based on standard shoe size, but I've found that to be a bad comparison.

I'm in the same boat as sdcopp. My Mission skates are a half size larger than other brands. Every skate I've worn has been size 9, my Mission skates are 9.5, shoe size is 11. I expected to get a size 10 Mission skate based on their system, but even that was a little too loose for my tastes. Most importantly as Joel12 said, if you can, go to the store and try them on. That's truly the best way to know you're going to get the skate that fits you best.
