Fivehole101 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2009 I am currently using a old pair of mission bsx inline skates. I would like to either buy a new pair for under 150, or convert my backup ice skates to inline. What is the best option? Also, If I do buy inline skates, do they run the same sizes as hockey skates? Thanks
vnderachiever 3 Report post Posted May 17, 2009 Also, If I do buy inline skates, do they run the same sizes as hockey skates?Every skate fits differently. Your best bet is to try them on. Mission sizing is the same as shoe sizing, but most other companies run a size to a size and a half small. I.E. My tour roller hockey skates are a 10.5 but my missions are a 12. Fivehole101 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2009 I think a conversion would be too much work, so i am looking at entry level skates such as the XVR lite, supreme select and supreme tempo. Which one is the best for the money? Keep in mind I will be using them on asphalt and outside hockey rinks that have been drained.
All Torhs Team 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2009 Dude your just going too tear up any skate on some asphalt. Get yourself some old Mission controls if you can find them, what I used to use for outdoor, got a pair every season.Shouldnt be more than $50 at a MC or PlayitAgain if you can find em, being so old. Bender 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2009 Did you like the missions and did they fit you well? If so why not get another pair, maybe step up to CXS's (just slip in under $150)?
goblue913 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2009 I swear by Mission Proto SV's. They're old, but I've had them since 2001 and they're still going strong.
