alexhockey83714 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2009 Hey guys I need help,My last two pairs of skates have been Missions. First I had L7s, and then the 120 XPs. Since Mission merged with Bauer and is no longer making a ice line I need to get use to something new. I'm not sure what brand I should try that will have close to the same feel. I liked how Missions had a narrow boot and I liked the Pitch 3 Holder. I already tried Grafs and they not like them at all. Any suggestions?
IniNew 53 Report post Posted June 7, 2009 Narrow? Try the old Vapors.
alexhockey83714 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2009 What about the Vapor X60?
IniNew 53 Report post Posted June 7, 2009 I've heard the nex Vapors have a wider boot than the XXXX's and down. Best option is to just go try stuff on till you find something that fits the way you like.
alexhockey83714 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2009 what do you think of the one95s? i tried the x60 and the vapor 40, and both seem too wide for me. the x60 was a bit wider. i wanted to try the one95s but they didnt have any in my size. i heard they are narrow. epstud74 24 Report post Posted June 8, 2009 One95s are NOT narrow. Who ever said that to you gave you bad information. The One95s and Vapor series all have more volume than they've had in the past. The Reeboks will have lots of volume as well. Ever looked at a Graf skate? Maybe the Graf 703? Graf Supra G3? Ultra G3?
alexhockey83714 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2009 i tried grafs but they were way too forward, even tried to put tuuks on them and that didnt help much. i didnt like being on my toes. i had g3s.
epstud74 24 Report post Posted June 8, 2009 I've worn Graf 502s and 707s along with CCM 952s, Daoust 301s and various Bauer models (now in Vapor XXXX) and I dont think it is that hard to get used to the forward flex of the skate. Can you get the profiled?
rescueswimmer 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2009 my .02 go to your local hockey shop that has a wide selection and a couple hours of time and try everything on. Don't go in thinking I need the one95's cause there the best ect ect. Find something that is quality and fits you well.
