I was looking at the Seals site and noticed that they havent updated there schedule or website? I cant find the WHA2 website either. Does this mean that there are no more WHA2?

Where do I begin?

Okay...WHA2 was set up so Orlando and Jax could be in the WHA when it started. League was going under, arena was owed $200k, RDV was owed money, guys were not getting paid, stuff like that.

Anyway, season ends, team is sold to a group in Calgary, whose intention is to pay off all of their debts and be in the WHA. The WHA announces their teams and Orlando is one of them. The Seals owner (who had controlling interest in most teams) decides if Orl/Jax is not around then his other league won't be successful and that the new teams that were joining his league wouldn't join unless the league looked better, so he cancels the sale. Lease agreements are signed in other cities, so now they are the EHL, which was then changed to the EaHL.

Now that that's all settled, he then pulls Orlando out and tries to sell it back to the WHA. The WHA tells him to screw himself, and now he is stuck with this team nobody wants and a lease debt.

It gets better.

Now before the WHA2 there was the ACHL. That league split in half as the Seals' owner did not get along with the other guy. ANYWAY...now those teams that broke off have now merged with the EaHL and became the SPHL. Jax was sold to Ron Duguay.

Now you'd think all is well...

Nooooooooo...apparently he pays the City for the arena. City takes the money, then says, "We don't want your business anymore." Now they don't even have a rink to play at! THey were forced to cease operations this season, and are looking to playing in Kissimmee next season.

I sold a pair of skates to the Seals' owner yesterday. He's a fucktard.

Correction JR went from WHA2 to the EHL then to avoid confusion with the ECHL renamed to the SHL then was going to be sold and moved to the WHA until the new owners started making announcemnets about what they are going to do with having dropped a dime and being late themselves, back to the SHL then the Merger to become the SPHL the a new sale and break of sale with the WHA and the the city dropping the arena lease

Thats a sad thing to hear, No Seals hockey. I use to go up to Orlando to see my sister and she would get tickets. Watching Sanderson fight, good times and of course Puma, what a beast.

LMAO - "fucktard", I am definitely adding that to my vocabulary.

That whole mess sounds very much like the old pro roller hockey days. Nothing but liars, cheats and psychos. I wouldn't be surprised if there were some of the same people involved. Those people make it hard for us who are trying to do things legitimately. I can just imagine the reaction I would get if I called up that arena manager and asked him about putting a pro roller hockey team in his building. I'm sure it would be 100% pre-pay or "No Play".

Not to mention that he has two pending lawsuits from players because the "insurance" is not covering their surgeries...
