NBH Stick with similar feel to Easton SE

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to see if anyone knows or can attest to if either the One95 or the Vapor XXXX OPS Sticks have a similar feel to the Synergy SE. I currently have a Vapor XXV and I'm not 100% thrilled with the feel but I don't know if it's because it's not a high end stick or if that's just how the vapor line feels. I'm never used a One95 stick. While I understand part of this may be PP I was hoping to see if anyone had any experience on this one.

The one95 shaft shape is going to be similar to that of the SE. more of a squared off shaft compared to the vapors rounded design.

If my SE wasn't so beat i would be able to make a decent comparison for you, but being i've had the SE for a year and just got the one95, i don't believe my comparison will do justice when it comes to feel.

Its just because your stick isnt high end. The vapor xxxx is a low kick, lighter feel stick like the se, the one 95 is a shooters stick not unlike the s17, its got a mid kick and its a bit heavier.

dude... no way is an s17 comparable to a one95..

Shaft profile wise and kickpoint wise.

one95 vs SE

XXXX/X:60 vs S17

Personally I don't think that NBH makes a stick that feels like the SE (which is my weapon of choice). I prefer the One95 to the XXXX myself, but it's definitely heavier (although well balanced and may gain in the durability area as a result of the heavier shaft) and doesn't really feel similar to the SE in my opinion. It just feels different - not necessarily better or worse. The type of performance and feel that is "best" is really personal. If you like the Easton SE, then I would simply stick with that. If you are looking for something different, then just keep trying stuff out until you find what is the best match for your style.

The comparison to me was based on the style of the stick, there both shooters sticks that dont feel as balanced as there other counterparts (se / 40 ) so thats why i compared the two. I used the both and i found they both had a similar kick.

fair enough. i retract my statement. We were expressing opinions on different aspects. I thought the the XXXX was supposed to be a shooters stick but I myself much prefer the one95 over it.

Personal preference i guess. Ive used/owned all of the sticks mentioned (except for the s17, i swapped with a guy for a game), and despite the fact my shot is the best with the one95, i prefer the se. Its very light and easy to stickhandle in traffic with, an aspect that suits my personal preference. The vapor xxxx is a light stick but i can shoot rockets with it, something about the feel however made me not like it, cant explain it. But yeah, its a personal preference thing.

i'ved owned all 3 as well. I felt that the SL I had was the best out of all of them(except for the bades constantly breaking) and the 95 felt next best in line to me,.

I think you will find the X:60 to be rather close to the Easton "feel."

It's lightweight and has a very stiff, responsive blade that lacks "feel" for the puck. I'm not positive on the shaft shape but mine feel more rounded than an Easton SE but still very close.

interesting...i thought they would increase puck feel considering how badly that department is for the 40s

so whats the X:60 selling point going to be? ^.-
