The MP8 is so much better then pants. They are molded to your body, are lighter then any pant and are much more protective. You can barely even feel anything when you fall. All the pros use girdles and put a shell over them. The MP8 girdle is awesome.

I've seen a lot of pro pants and they are not all girdle. I've seen more pros using pants than girdles.

You better hope you don't get hit by a puck or stick on the inner leg. They have no padding there at all.

Easily solved...

Wear a pro pant bottom and keep the thigh pads in them...that's what I do.

My NHL Franklin pants don't have any more padding on the inside of the thigh then my 2 MBP girdles do.

I have 2 CCM Tampa shells and both have the inner thigh pads. I wish they had zips too but not for the ones I picked up at the team sale.
