Warrior Bonafide Pants

Recommended Posts

I may have asked this a few months ago, but can anyone comment on the build quality of the senior Bonafide pants? I love the fit of the hustlers but don't want that much protection. Also, if I take a small in the Hustler, would I be a small in these as well?

The Hustler and Bonafide line are two different lines when it comes to protection, not length. I've tried mostly all of their lines of pants. noticeable similarities: Small, Medium, Large all fit the same in each pant line. So, if you're a small in hustler, you're a small in Bonafide. I recently tried them on ( just to have as a back up pair of my hustlers ). Noticeable differences: Bonafide definitely lacks protection, obviously the price tag reflects this, they didn't feel as BEEFY as the Hustlers. The waist did feel a little tighter to me on the BONAFIDE line comparing to the Hustler line, though.

If you aren't looking for a high end pants like the HUSTLER or mid-ranged HITMAN line - Bonafides will suit you best.

What is making you steer clear of the Hustler, or even the HITMAN line?

I would go for the hitman if they came in solid red and not the goofy colors theyre actually offered in. No interest in the hustlers based on the fact that i'm a finesse player that never really cared about protection if it inhibited my mobility. I'm 5'8 175, with about a 31 in waist, think the small bonafide is the way to go?

My son has the Bonafides. He's a peewee. He really likes them. I don't where breezers anymore but know exactly what your saying about restriction. I never liked high end pants because they were so bulky feeling. That was the reason we decided on the Bonafides for him. I think they have enough protection without "overprotecting" and feeling restricted. I also liked the way the fit him in the length and especially the waist. The other beef I have with bulky restrictive pants is that the way the tighten around the waist (or don't tighten).

Given you your style and concern for mobility, I think you would like the Bonafides. Can't help you on the sizing though. I would assume they fit very similar to other Warrior pants in terms of waist and length.

Just because it happened to one pair of pants doesn't mean it will happen to all of them. Warriors customer service is excellent and I'm sure if it did happen they would take care of it.

I don't think he meant to try and change your mind from getting the bonafides :). Use this board only as advisory. People will share their experiences with the gear. But if you're dead set on something, I know how that goes. You normally want to hear good things about the product :D

In this case, The bonafides are the way to go. Just keep in mind that the quality won't be as GREAT like the HUSTLER line. It took me a while to get used to the hustlers though, you're right. They felt real restrictive due too all the protection around my waist & down, at first. I'm 185 5'9 -forward /left wing. Had to break in those pants well! They don't bother me as much, with time, they'll break in, DUH

This isn't my first rodeo on MSH, bad feedback on a product is good feedback as far as I'm concerned from a consumer perspective. If it means me not having to buy new pants a year from now I'll go with the hustlers.

We're the same size, are you wearing a small or medium?

Medium, I found that LARGE was, well, just too large =p.

They're perfect. They go over my shin pads and don't get stuck under them or any of that. You know what I mean?

Plus, I sag them just a bit. More comfortable that way. That wouldn't have worked out too well w/the large.
