kovalchuk71 212 Report post Posted August 11, 2009 I know if you use 80mm on skates you will have to dremel, but how about if you use 78mm? Has anyone tried?

Brokensticks 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2009 Theoretically, I would assume this would work to have all 78mm wheels (although I have not tried it myself to know) but you would decrease one of the biggest advantages of having the Hummer frame, which is the larger wheels and contact patch with the floor. Aside from that there's pretty limited selection of wheels that actually come in 78mm.
kovalchuk71 212 Report post Posted August 12, 2009 True, but I use RR, so I don't care about wheel selection. Sure, they're smaller than 80mm wheels, but they would be bigger then what a lot of others run on converted skates (76mm)
Makoto 3 Report post Posted August 12, 2009 I picked up a set of 78mm RR Hornets and have used them for a couple games on my hummer chassis. I have already dremmeled my boots, but from eye-balling it, it will be a tight fit using 78mm wheels. I think you're going to have to pioneer this one.
