EE Skate Sizes

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I'm looking to pick up a pair of Vapor 40's, and I'm going to have to order online as I have limited access to Hockey shops. I've tried on a friends in the size I'm looking for (9.5 Bauer), but I just wanted to make sure as moving to Bauer for the first time after always previously using Mission skates - Can I be confident that the EE fit on Bauer skates is a similar fit to a EE Mission?

Thanks, Dan

Thanks mate - are they going to be significantly wider? Would it be wiser to go for D's instead?

I'd go for the d's honestly. Wearing a mission fuel 120xp (is that right? top of the line anyways) in the store, the 11ee felt quite a bit narrower then a 10.5 ee in a reebok. I would say try and get to a store before you pick a pair up though so you dont end up with skates that dont fit right. Fit is very important on skates and can effect your skating immensely.

Even if you dont have great access, it woudlnt hurt to try and at least try on a lower end vapor or maybe one of your buddys has a pair you could try for size. Just get out there and see what you can find. Mission skates tend to run narrow though.

The Dangler is 100% correct. Missions are a narrow skate compared to a Bauer Vapor skate. I need EE's in a Mission but I can comfortably wear a Vapor XXII or XXV in a D width. Get out to a store and try on a pair before investing your hard earned cash in a Bauer skate. Fit is extremely important and you don't want to goof up and end up spending lots of your time and money on a mistake.
