Benefits of Taper OPS

Any insight out there? Compro has the E4X which is tapered and the E3X which isn't the difference right off the bat is 5-10 grams in weight, which going from 420ish to 430ish isn't a big deal. What are the other differences though?

An OPS with a taper is going to have a lower kickpoint.

Lower kickpoint, which means more snap and a better release. Think Synergy, vapor, dolo... One 95 is tapered somewhat, it's a mid low...

Pretty much every top end stick has a taper. That should tell you something.

The E4X has a taper similar to the S17, maybe not as extreme or high up the shaft but very noticable.

Too low can make the stick feel too stiff and not perform well.
