Any problems with the One95 replacement blade?

Recommended Posts

I know some have spoken of Warrior blades having shorter hosels, therefore placing more stress on the inside tip of a shaft and eventually breaking it.... just wondering if the One95 blades are having any problems they're notorious for? I've been a Z-Carbon/S15 blade since they first came out years and years ago and don't completely understand all the hate here towards them, but thinking of switching to the One95 blade so I can go from the Zetterberg to a slight bit more of a mid curve (P88) in an attempt to gain some velocity and further control for things like toe drags, etc.

Any bad words about the One95 blades?

Well guys, just broke my Z-Carbon tonight. It's lasted me a year of playing on and off, so I guess I got good life out of it. I always seem to snap them straight down the blade where it comes away from the hosel, cracking from the top of the blade down to the heel. (Sucker got me a hat trick and 2 assists tonight and put us into the championship game, so it went out with a bang.)

Time to switch to the One95.

Havent tried the one95 blade, but if its anything like the one90 then its a winner... I used one for a full league season... slapshots, faceoffs, redirects, tip ins, blocked shots and it was still solid and no chipping after all that.

Decided to bite the bullet and bought a NBH One95 blade tonight in the PM9 pattern, since it's what I've been using for about a decade now.

Simply amazing. I think the combination of it with my Z-Bubble is more balanced than the stick was with my Z-Carbon/S15 blades in it over the years. The blade conveys more feeling, but simultaneously feels smoother as well. Very nice blade, especially for under $50. Haven't done more than stickhandling and some easy shots with it, but it feels as if NBH did their homework with this thing. We'll put it to the test of time and see how it performs.

Also, decided to stick with my Modano/Forsberg/Zetterberg curve and go with the PM9. I'd been thinking about the P88 because I wanted to try a bit higher of a lie with just a hair more of a midcurve for velocity/control reasons, but 7 goals in the past 3 games made me think otherwise.

Seems like a perfect blend of strength, feel, and super light weight.
