Feedback on Easton ST16 Shoulder Pads

Recommended Posts

I saw no reviews or feedback on the Easton ST16 shoulder pads, and I was wondering if anyone has used them, tried them on, etc... Very little came up in searching either.

Seeing as how Douglas doesn't make shoulder pads anymore, and mine are just about ready to call it a career, I'm in the market for some new pads, and these caught my eye as a potential candidate for my $$$.

So, anybody have anything to say about these ones?

Thanks in advance.

I tried them on at Play it Again. They're tank's, that's for sure. They have plastic inserts on the chest, so you could probably get hit by a car and not feel it, plus they have the plastic rib insert on the backside of the pads. But even with how heavy duty they are, they felt good when I tried them on. I didn't feel like I couldn't move, or they were too heavy. Plus the ST-line shoulder caps are pretty low pro compared to other brands of pads. The sizing this year seems different though. I bought a pair of ST4's last year in a senior small and they fit me perfectly. But the new ST16's won't fit me in a small, just a medium. I'm about 6'1, 170 by the way.

Hhmmm. So, a small would probably do me just fine then. 5' 8", 170lbs.

We'll see. Might just go through the shop and order from the rep, now that I'm working there again. Worse comes to worse, I can buy online, rather than buying from the competitor in the area. ;)
