EASTON SYNTHESIS GRIP HOCKEY SHAFT

Recommended Posts

No need to do titles in full caps.

I used the synthesis when it first came out and I was not impressed. You can find better shafts on the market.

Go with the AK27 :)

I would take the synth over the AK

I feel the same way, disappointing shaft.

I wonder what went wrong ? It should be the same thing as a T-Flex.

Really? What don't you like about it?

Typical standard shaft, didn't perform any better than an ultralight or z-bubble and was worse than my tri flex gold or red light XN10.

No need to do titles in full caps.

I still like the extra action from a long wood hosel on the t flex blades.

I just bought a bunch on closeout because I like the shaft shape, but I agree the performance and feel are not quite right.

That was pretty much the end of Easton sticks for me. The R2 was a much better fit for me and when the XN10 version came out, the search was over.

i have a syntheis grip shaft and i loved it, the only reason i stopped using it is because i was able to get a one95 for about $100. awesome shaft with great durability, in my opinion. but then again i think 90% of how well a stick works is the person using it.

I'll agree with you on the durability part. It's also how well the stick fits the player, not simply the overall skill level of the player.

Do these sticks require a special blade or will any standard non tapered blade work?

I have one of the first ones, the yellow grip model. Did nothing for me. use it as a back up to my one 95 and rbk 7kv. might have been too stiff, but i hated it.

Synthesis shafts take tapered blades. I've had a couple in my day and I was one who liked them. They were consistent and lasted.

Here is an example that claims that synthesis shafts can only use synthesis blades

http://www.hockeymonkey.com/synthesis3.htm...channelid=FROOG

is this incorrect?

It's the only EASTON blade that would fit when it was released. Any junior tapered blade will fit any junior tapered shaft.
