Intermediate Synthesis Blades

I'm looking to get back into hockey after being out of the sport for three or four years.

Do they even make these things anymore? I guess it's more curiousity than anything else, it's only a back-up to my back-up.

Also, what is Easton's Modano pattern called these days?

You might be able to find them on eBay, but they aren't in production now. The Synergy II blade would be your closest bet, which is also out of production now. The Easton pattern now is called the Zetterberg

They synergy II is the next generation from those, the Synergy Elite followed that and they're currently on the SE16, but you shouldn't have too many issues finding Elite blades still.

They're still similar in design, but they've been working to improve feel and durability.

Thanks for the info. I never really got attached to the Synthesis, I also thought it was bizarre that they made it so only Int. blades fit the shaft. The shaft is from the first batch any way, I'm sure it will break the first time it sees extended use...

I have a righty forsberg/modo synthesis intermediate blade I got off eBay by accident off a poorly listed auction. Never been used or put in a shaft, if you or anyone else is interested I'll work a deal or trade.

Ah, that's a good point. Forgot that they did that, they only make jr and senior dimension ones now. The int shafts they make now take senior blades.

Yeah, nothing but an int synthesis blade will fit if you have an intermediate shaft if that's what you have, and those don't exist anymore unless you find one secondhand.
