Wolfpack_1986 154 Report post Posted October 19, 2009 The computer program, as I remember, is set up so a non-technical guy, like the coach of a team, can analyze the data and determine if the player is ready.except, theres these things called false positives and false negatives. unless you're coach is not a fucking doctor, he is not qualified to interpret the results. this isnt something that should be debatable, it's your brain for crying out loud. frankie56 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2009 I'm a doctor and can tell you even the specialists frequently disagree. It's not an easy problem. However, everything indicates that you should always be conservative with concussions. The joy of coming back early is small reward compared to the risk of permanent brain injury from coming back too soon.As far as that computer program, you should view it as just a tiny bit of information, like having nausea or vertigo. Used alone, it's probably worthless, used with other information, it might be a valuable tool. I believe you must contact a specialist to take the test. You will probably be charged to take it.http://www.impacttest.com
