Bauer X-60 Stick

Recommended Posts

I was at the LHS today and saw the Bauer X-60. Looks like a very nice stick. It's got two kickpoints I believe. It's very steep in price though. I'm just wondering if anyone on this board has used it? Furthermore, do you think the One 95 will be discontinued now that the X-60 is out?

and no, the one95 will not be discontinued. Each of Bauers product line has a 2 year life cycle and is changed every other year. Last year it was supreme's and this year it is the vapor line. Supremes will change next October.

I found one broken in half at the rink. I snatched it up. Going to hang it on my wall at home. LOL

Sucks to be that previous owner.

SRS would fix that right up if it's mostly a clean break.

The X:60 hasn't been out that long you would think that the stick might still be under warranty.

Prostock probably. Would explain why it's in the trash. That, or the original owner is just that stupid.

Has S/N on it and the s/n tag that is supposed to go on the receipt. I'm assuming whoever had it probably broke it himself (smashing a goalpost or such in anger)

Its a RH 102Flex Gagne P106 Curve

whats SRS?

EDIT:

These guys?

Looks like the closest dealer is about 2 hours away. I will post a picture of it when I get home and you can decide if its worth trying to send it to them to fix. Especially with it being a RH and me shooting lefty. Though I may convert to RH just to use this stick. LOL

Yeah, those are the guys. We've done multiple fixes with that system, and have had no complaints. Definitely worth it if you want to use the stick. Just chop the blade off and put in another one since you're a left. You'll at least get a feel for the shaft, even if it's a little bit diluted since the original blade is missing.

Whats the cost to fix?

Depends on the shop. We charge a flat $50 per stick.

Alright thats not bad, I will find a place I can mail it to and get it done.

Thanks

I've seen much less than $50... "Most repairs are $29.99 or less." this website has it cheaper.

Yes, but when you're the only shop around that offers this service in the whole state, you can up the price a bit. Not saying I agree with it, wasn't my decision, but that's the logic behind it.

Ok... supply and demand, yes we all know... still doesn't mean the customer shouldn't shop around to find the best price.
