Given the following OPS's, which plays whippiest?

Recommended Posts

already have a U+ 75, and have played with a 2-pc dolo 75, so i'm more curious as to how whippy the other 2 sticks (SE16 and TPS R8...hell, even throw in an S17 85) are in comparison given the same length. expected playing length is ~57".

to me, the dolo seemed just a touch whippier than the U+. TIA.

Easton has it so that you have to cut it to a certain length before it plays as listed, so wouldn't they be whippier?

Curious as to how much you have to cut too, is it 2 inches? So a 100 would actually be 85 before cutting?

more than likely the tps will be the whippiest. i have never used a se16 but tps has been the whippiest out of the others listed for me

thanks for the info. the r8 is the one i was leaning towards.

In my experience the SE16 75s or 70 flex 2-piece feel the most flexible of those listed. That said, I am not really sure that is the ultimate difference maker. I wouldn't choose one or the other based on that information alone.

My guess is the R8 whip flex would be whippiest (TPS have always been whippy for me), followed by the SE (I don't like the 70 flex shafts as they have a higher kickpoint and don't have much kick to them), followed by the U+ (never used but felt whippy in the store), followed by the Dolomite (I've had two 75 flex Dolos, they're on the stiffer side).
