CCM U+ Reloaded question

Hey guys, I was curious what the size of the heel is in these skates? Is it wider than the ONE95? Reason I ask is because lately I have been having issues with heel slip (I skate barefoot) and am curious if the U+ will give more mold in the heel area.

when did u get ur U+?

i had lots of heel slippage too but it eventually went away

I haven't purchased the U+. I have One95 and was curious about the U+ heel.

I know the reloadeds have like 50% more U foam in the heel area to lock it in better (due to complaints about heel slip in the 1st gen U+'s) but I only have the original U+'s so I have not been able to compare the Reloadeds improved heel lock to the originals. I am sure since they added more moldable material in the heel on the Reloadeds that the lock has to be improved but i dont know if it is a narrower or "tighter" fitting heel then the current one95

A few questions for the experts.

There was some pressure in the arch, from the side and below. Is that something that would go away with baking? Different insole? Can you punch these skates?

Does the foam compress with time? Mostly concerned about the heel and developing heel slip as the foam ages.

It could go away with baking, punching or breaking in but then again the skate could be to narrow

I had the 09 U+ Pros and switched to the One95's both D width.

The U+ was narrower in the arch and toe box with a wider heel. I had some heel slippage in the U+. None at all in the One95. The U+ was also a deeper fitting skate, although I didn't have a issue with depth. Just something to think about if you're close.

I had to punch out the sides by the toe and my right arch to avoid pains, didn't have to do anything to the One95 expect a bake.

Go with the ONE95, CCM still has an issue with the heel, my heel slips in the Reloaded, still not a great heel lock yet

Yep One95 hands down.

Especially if you can find one in your size on closeout for $400.
