Mission NME Nine-1 Pants

Recommended Posts

I have a pair. They run a bit small (e.g. 32-34 inch waist is best if you are on the low end ~32"). I have a ~32" waist. They are a pro-style two piece pant with a girdle style upper piece and a shell with thigh pads similar to those in standard one piece pants.

I like mine well. Durability seems fine so far (mine are only 3-4 months old). I like that they are all in one since they have sock holders and a built-in cup holder. Large zippers in the thighs allow a lot of mobility.

I would say these are moderate in protection with the exception of the tailbone / lower back protection which is excellent. They offer very high mobility for a top end pant. These are a good compromise between mobility and protection - definitely not the most protective ever but very good.

I am not sure I would splurge for the original retail price, but the ~$80 they are going for is very fair in my opinion.

I did look at them but I never found a store with the Motions in stock - the Motion S5s looked cheap and crappy by comparison. The Motion and Motion Elite look nicer but I haven't seen them in person. Based on other retail Easton gear that I have seen, I would personally stick with the Mission equipment considering it's cheaper as well.

Is the cup removable on these pants? I have a compression undergarment with cup holder that works quite well, so I'd probably prefer to keep using it.

Cheers!
