thunderhockey48 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2009 I am currently skating on s15 skates with Lightspeed II tuuks on them, but the boot is just too wide for my really narrow foot. I have 2 blades for my tuuks that i switch out because i send them in by mail to get the FBV sharpening, thus im really just looking to buy a better boot that i can put onto my lightspeed II tuuks. My blades are size 272, and the s15's are size 7.5. What size boot from each brand would fit onto these holders? Im assuming its possible to put any boot with any holder, granted they are the same size, seeing how the s15s are on lightspeed II holders. Also, what are the best boots on the market. considering responsiveness, weight, and durability. I realize that nobody probably sells boots alone so i will have to buy a new skate, so basically im just asking, what are some really good skates just considering the boot? I dont really want to spend alot, so i usually go for some of the older top of the line models. thanks for any input!

ID Rollerpop 4 Report post Posted November 11, 2009 Like field said worry more about the fit of the boot. On the other hand if you go with bauer probably vapors since you said you are on the narrow side they will come stock with ls2's if you go with a skate that is comperable to your s15's. thunderhockey48 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2009 yeah i was thinking about going with bauers. How is the fit on the one90's or XXXX's?
fatwabbit 93 Report post Posted November 12, 2009 better try out the boots first before buying. The XXXX are lower volume skates..., the one90 is higher volume, but not as much as the One95
thunderhockey48 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2009 So i found a pair of one90's for really cheap, and i like the fit, the only problem is that the blade size is 263. The boot size is 7.5 just like my eastons. Will it be possible to mount my lightspeed II holders with a blade size 272 onto this boot?

I know this may not be what you want to hear but "the best boots on the market" may not be the best boots for your feet. I admire and envy technology that goes into the Eastons, CCM's, One90's & Vapors but they don't fit me! Try as many skates as you can and buy the skate that fits you the best. Best of luck.
