Push Ups

I know that push ups will not strengthen any specific "hockey muscle" but since I got school and a job its hard to access a gym so I am relying on push ups to keep my upper body fit. So bascily what is a good routine to get into?

I have been told 3 sets of 15 per hour really helps but that seems a bit extreme currently I am doing 3 sets of 15 per night. Does anyone have a good routine of push ups that they would like to share?

My old coach who used to be a competative arm wrestler said the best push up drill ever is to do 10 pushups a minute for an hour, so 600 pushups. He said it gets to be really hard towards the end of the hour.

Well, I've never tried it.....but the theory is that you do the ten push ups as fast as you can, so you can get as much rest before the next minute. So try to get them done within the first 20-30 seconds. It will obviously get harder and you'll get a shorter rest later on in the hour.

I do 7 or 8 sets of 25 every night. It really helps keep your muscles lean. After going to the gym and benching low reps and heavy weight, it keeps your muscles nice and lean.
