HattrickSwayze 3 Report post Posted November 27, 2009 Has anyone used one of these? I'm probably about due for an extra compression shirt and this one caught my eye. The Kevlar in the neck/wrists is kind of cool, but I'm wondering if that affects the shirt negatively; mostly if it's too thick or hot in those spots. Also a little curious how high the neck comes up. I don't wear a neck guard, nor would I, but with it built into the shirt it seems like it'd be less cumbersome. I'm not entirely sold on whether it's worth the money or not, so just looking for some input.http://www.hockeymonkey.com/mission-hockey...sion-shirt.html
IniNew 53 Report post Posted November 27, 2009 If it gives me abs like the picture, I'll buy one.
dsjunior1388 81 Report post Posted November 27, 2009 I have the short sleeve, not the long sleeve, but the shirt breathes very well and the collar/neck guard doesn't get hot, it ventilates pretty well. The only annoying part is that you have to zip up the collar in the back, makes sense, you can't really put kevlar in a stretchy material like an Under Armour mock turtleneck. The zipper is coverred by material so it doesn't rest against your neck.
HattrickSwayze 3 Report post Posted November 27, 2009 Oh, yeah I remember seeing the zipper on a different version of that shirt. Not as awkward as those bib/catsuit things I've seen though. How big is the neck protector? The pictures make it look relatively small, which isn't a minus for me. I'd rather it not come all the way up to my chin. Thanks for the feedback. HattrickSwayze 3 Report post Posted November 27, 2009 Bigger than a regular collar? So it's not like a turtle neck then, that comes up most of your neck?

HattrickSwayze 3 Report post Posted November 27, 2009 Ok thanks. I misunderstood you I think, I thought you meant it only came up a 1/4" higher than a non-turtleneck undershirt. Thanks a lot for the help, I appreciate it.

KABAROV 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2009 I use a similar one. its called the mission tight fit compression shirt. its a very breathable material with the kevlar neck but not on the wrists. the zipper is in the front and it is quite comfortable. be careful when buying though. the sizing is confusing. I'm 5'7" but i take a size large. the reason is the neck. if you get a size S or M the neck is very small. they should really size these by the neck like a dress shirt. I bought a large and the neck fits nicely and since it's the tight stretchy material it is very tight in the body. i love it and would never go back to not wearing one! cheers.oh the only drawback is it's very hard to get off after the game! its so tight you can't pull it over your head like a normal shirt. best way is to pull the body away from you and slide one arm out first...
