Nike v12 skates Need input

I tried these skates on today and was really impressed on how well they fit. For those who are using the V12 what are the pros and cons of the skate. They do seem a little heavy compared to other skates but the tor cap is quite large and comfy.

I seem to recall a lot of complaints about durability, you might want to try using the search tool. Just remember to set it for more than the last 30 days.

They basically fall apart if you look at them funny.... The eyelets like to rip out of the boots, and I dare you to find one pair with a blade mount any better than totally horribly atrocious.

Wow it doesn't look good for the V12. The toe box is so nice on the skate. I guess I will get a pair of custom 8090 or xxx when they come out. May the synergy if they are wide enough

I have skated in V-12s for about a year now and love the boot. I did have holder alignment problems but I have heard plenty of stories about skates with composite outsoles having alignment problems. It's not fogivable, but it's also not out of the ordinary. I haven't really had any problems with the durability of the skates. No eyelets have ripped out and no cuts in the boots have expanded past the initial slice. I have had some of the inner material around the top eyelet start to wear away but it is due more to it rubbing against the inside of my shin pads than anything else. I definitely recommend these skates of Vapors. I will not buy another pair of Vapors again. Can't say much about the 8090's since I have never owned them but they were designed around one of the best lasts ever created (Mega Air 90s). Good luck.

Not true. I've had my V12's for about 18 months now, longer than i've really had any other pair of skates, especially at the level I play at. I played 1 time every day, a lot of times twice a day in the fall, everyday and a lot twice in the winter, than everyday in the spring too, everyday in the fall, a lot of times twice a day in the summer. I don't know how my skates are lasting, i mean, i can tell they're breaking down, but I put them through so much abuse, and they are definently the most durable skates i've ever owned, usually with the amount i play any of my other skates will fall apart. I suggest V12's strongly, the boot lasts a long time, i've had the blades replaced three times and the boots lasted all the way through.

I have to agree that the boot is very durable. I've been skating the Hi-Ho silvers in inline (V-12) and I usually go through inlines way faster than ice skates and they are holding up very well to abuse. I was actually very pleasantly suprised as to how tough they are. The inlines are all silver so they show scuffs and marks much more than your average boot which is deceiving because the boot *looks* like it's beat up, but it's just cosmetic. Structurally they are perfect, no problems at all.
