Tapered Blade

Recommended Posts

Hello, Last year i bought a warrior dolomite pro stock 110 flex, when i got the stick it didn't really feel like a warrior to me and after about a month some of the paint chiped on the blade and i noticed that there wasn't a checkerd pattern like there is on the warrior blades I think it was a bauer but i'm not sure, either way i liked the stick and got it for a real good price so i didn't mind, but last week i cracked the blade on it, so i did a search on here and found out if you heated up the shaft you could pull the blade out so that's what i did and it worked. Now i'm wondering if a tapered blade goes in there or is it a standard blade and is there a way to tell from looking at it? i don't wanna order a tapered blade off the net then get it and it doesn't fit the shaft ya know what i'm saying? any help would be great

You could probably tell by pulling out the blade and comparing the shape of the shaft by the butt end and where the blade is inserted, if they're the same then it'll be standard, if the shaft narrows near the blade then it's tapered. The hosel on a tapered blade should be shorter also, although with pro stock variations anything is possible. As far as what kind of stick it is, it's a Warrior. Pretty sure no company would be shameless enough to throw their graphics on another company's stick, they only change graphics on their own sticks per pro request.

obviously not Warrior but, tapered hosel is shorter and lowers the kickpoint

difficult to see size difference, tapered is narrower

Standard: one95sm.jpg

Tapered: xxxxsm.jpg

Dimensions: bladetaper.jpg

edit: found better pic

at one point innovative (now warrior) made comp sticks for nike/bauer and some other compines. look in the shaft at the top and there should be a green sticker that says what stick it is. as far as the blades pattern of graphite warroir had some blades with the rtm pattern( similar to eastons early models). they went to the large checkerboard pattern with the true1, and continued it with all blaeds after. you shouls be able to pull the blade out just using a heat gun and heat it up pretty good, and as others have said it should be tapered. so a tapered blaed will fit regradless of the company.

i have removed blades from easton.ccm, bauer, rbk, warrior, inno(manic), torspo so it does work.
