What is the most durable mid priced OPS?

Recommended Posts

What sticks have you tried that are the best value? Personally I feel $50 is enough to spend on a stick since I don't really have a wicked shot and I'm more of a mucker grinder. Light enough to make it worth it to pay the cash but I'd like them to last more than a month or two. The Mid level NBH Vapors I have tried broke too quickly, I'm using an older CCM Vector right now and it's lasted pretty long so far. Wood are harder and harder to find and the blades get soft too quickly anyway.

Yeah man, $50 isnt going to cut it. For under $100 however you have a few options. I would point you towards the Easton S7 in either grip or no grip flavor for that price range. I just picked up a 100 RH Sakic for around $80 to use when I play rat hocky. I got tired of people hacking at a nice stick in a pick up game. The stick is light enough and pretty durable.

I'd think the best bet for $50 would be to buy a gently used high-end shaft in the forums here or on ebay. Even if you don't have a wicked shot, you still might like the way it feels/performs, plus have the option of changing blades.

(I've gotten RLXN10's, AK27's, a 7k and Vector 130zg's all in new or like new condition in this price range).

for around 60 or 70 you can get the NB Supreme One55, not as heavy as other sticks at that point, very durable and good puck feel

Judging from what you described, if you want to stay cheap you could look for a NikeBauer Apollo ..... I bought one just to have when they were like $39 on hockeygiant about a year ago. I didn't like it and my Uncle had just started playing in a league so I gave it to him and he's been using it ever since, its help up very well from what I can tell and he likes it. He is also more of a grinder type player

Where would S11s, 5k's, and Warrior's MacDaddy and Johnsons fit in?

All mid except the mac daddy which was originally warriors top of the line stick before they added spyne to it and called it the Kronik.
