MyBauer Warranty

Recommended Posts

I bought one of the MyBauer custom sticks before Christmas, and today I noticed several cracks across the middle of the shaft. The cracks wrap half-way around the shaft, and you can get a finger nail underneath them and pry the composite a bit. The warranty expires tomorrow (14th), and I will be calling Bauer immediately tomorrow morning to try and get this resolved. In the meantime, I was wondering if anyone here has had any experiences with warranty returns for the BauerID or MyBauer programs, or Bauer sticks in general. The stick has seen little use while I've had it, as Christmas break saw it sit on the shelf for a week and a half of the 30 days I've had it. I'm afraid to put any weight on the stick to see the severity of the cracks, as it looks like one slap shot of heavy snap shot and the one-piece will soon become a two-piece. Is Bauer generally fair with their warranty assessments or are they very stringent? Lastly, I in no way mean to offend anyone or act immorally, but would I be better off snapping the stick or leaving it as is to return to Bauer? The stick is clearly unusable with the cracks, but I'm not sure if companies will acknowledge that or if the stick needs to be absolutely broken apart for them to acknowledge it. Any help, stories, or experiences would be greatly appreciated. My fingers are crossed that everything will work out, because this One95 has been the best stick I've used, but can't afford to drop $300 again on another one in such a short period of time.

My X60 to developed a crack right in the middle of the blade. While it wasn't "broken all the way," you could definitely feel the lack of pop on shots and blade flexing. So I just used it till it broke which wasn't to long after. It took about 3 weeks to receive my replacement stick (Jan 11), most likely due to it being over christmas/new years.

You can see my broken blade here. 2 week old stick.

I'm not sure if bauer will accept just a cracked, but I would contact them right away. They allow you 14 days to ship the stick after filling out the warranty form on the website.

I believe you have 30 days from the day of delivery on your doorstep for the warranty period. I'd get on the horn right away and ask them how to resolve the problem, from reading on here the consensus is that Bauer has the best warranty/customer service there is, so I wouldn't imagine them giving you a problem if you have a legitimate warranty claim to make.
