Looking for a curve. . .

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, first time poster here.

Does anyone know of an open, mid curve, with little to no rocker? I’m having a hard time finding a curve like this using only blade pattern charts and pictures. I’m using a P88 right now but I would like something more open, but that also has the same flat bottom edge. Almost like a Draper, but with a much smaller rocker. Does anyone make a pattern like this?

Thanks!

Off the top of my head I can't think of anything that will be perfect. The Recchi/Tavares has much less rocker and is only slightly less open. The Bauer P106 has less rocker, but is a slightly lower lie and slightly more of a heel. Warrior Vanek has less rocker but it also slightly less open.

Sakic?

Im looking at my S17 now which has the Sakic curve, sounds about right. Looks wise its similar but more open like you asked and also it is similar to the Draper too.

Doesn't the Sakic have the same big rocker though?

Yes

If you want no rocker, avoid the p106. It has more rocker than the pm9.

The only thing you're going to find without a rocker is the Lidstrom

What about the TPS afinogenov. (just as a suggestion)

It's a lower lie and has more depth than the p88. But it's slighty open mid and has less rocker than a sakic from my experience.

That would be my guess as a good candidate as well. It looks like TPS is slowly making their way back into LHSs - I picked up an Afinogenov R6 replacement the other day.
