Holes+ Blisters = too many gloves bought?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, Ive been getting al lot of holes in my gloves, like the size of golf balls but, I recently bought some new Bauer pro 4 rolls and they're getting messed up already. 2nd day I had them. Not to sound like a weakling or anything haha but Ive been getting blisters like 4-5 in each hand and it stings.

What does everyone do?... haha my old pair of gloves before those were Nike Bauers with grip load of duct tape around it. It was looking pretty ghetto for the most part though. <_<

what are you using to tape the top end of your stick? i normally add an extra layer of tape where the top end of the stick sits in the palm... at least that way it kinda protects the palm...

Alternatively you could tape the top end of the stick with some duct tape? Maybe just the top inch or so on top of your normal tape job.... that would decrease the friction a little..

If the holes are coming from your top hand, you have to do something to soften the edges at the end. I use Oggie foam on the butt end, just the straight strips and just at the end. It provides a nice soft, spongy grip. You can always put a plug in the end and shave it down a bit if you have small hands or don't want the end to be bigger than it is now.

If you're getting blisters on your bottom hand, lighten up your grip. Using gloves with a better palm will also help improve grip.

and I also have a death like grip on my slappers ^_^ is that normal?

You have to do what works for you, but generally in most sports a death grip on the instrument (stick, bat, golf club) isn't ideal.
