Jersey Sizing: 54 vs 56

Recommended Posts

I'd like some feedack on jersey sizing. I'm considering buying a size 54 from one of our fellow MSHrs. I thought a 56 would be better for me so I'm worried about a 54. I'm 5"10 225. Pretty broad.. bit of a gut... built like a coke machine!! Any thoughts other than my doing what my wife nags me about and going on a diet.

In looking at Game Worns for sale at AHL games...I've never seen a guy that size wearing a 54. For example. David Desharnais or Thomas Beauregard (5'7-5'8""/175-180lbs) from the Bulldogs wears/wore a 54. Just about every other player wears 56. There are a few 58's worn by the "big guys" 6'4" 220+ (O'Byrne comes to mind).

I've got a 54 (Beauregard) and it's HUGE. But, I'm a little guy.

Im thinking 56 would be a better fit.

Thanks - that's pretty much the way I figured it. I'm a 54 or 56 in height and a 56 or 58 in weight!!!! I gotta lose weight!! Too bad - I loved the jersey. It was exactly what I was looking for.

Depends on what jersey... just because it's a 54 or 56 doesn't mean all of the brands/materials in that size are the same. ;)

correct, the difference between edge and non-edge jerseys is huge.
