One90 Buttend

Recommended Posts

anyone attempted to chisel out the insides of a one90 OPS and insert a buttend into it. I recently bought a stick off a forum member and its lacking a little bit of size for my likeness, wondering if anyone has made it work.

If it's a wood butt-end wouldn't it be better to shave it down than to risk compromising the shaft wall?

significantly.

the sticks wall is structured very differently than you think if you haven't seen it. its not just a rectangular shape.

regardless of the shaft structure, it would make WAY more sense to shave the wood handle.

which is why when he asked if it would be better to alter the end plug than the shaft, i answered affirmatively.

I have a one90 as well. I don't recall having any problems inserting a wood plug in the butt end but it was several months ago.

It broke after a couple weeks and I tried to pull the plug. THAT was much harder than it should have been. The plug is wedged in there pretty tightly. If I'd known then what I know now, I would have shaved the plug a bit.
