Gear OPS info

My brother stopped playing hockey a while ago. The other day he pulled out an old orange Gear "Velocity" OPS he never liked to use. He gave it to me and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about them. I don't remember these sticks at all. I think I remember reading that Hockey Giant had exclusive Gear sticks at one point. Is this one of them?

I haven't had a chance to use it. It says 100 flex but definitely does not feel like one. It feels kind of whippy, blade heavy, and the shaft feels real skinny.

Any info would be awesome.

One of my teammates ordered the yellow ones when they were getting blown out for cheap. I think they lasted a few games, at best, on the ice. They may be better on roller wheels but I'm not willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. His experience was enough for me to swear off Gear sticks going forward.

If you got it free, go for it, but I wouldn't shell out for a Gear stick unless it was reeeeeeeally cheap.

Just read this and compared it to My Easton SE16 and ST. It's like paper compared to those two. Hahahaha
