LOOKING FOR A NEW HELMET

hey Im looking into getting a new helemt and i cannot decide on what to get. Ive always liked the bauer 4000.

So im looking at the bauer 4500, CCM vector 08, or the Stealth S9.. Any input would be great.

Try them on is the best advice. That's what I did when I was looking for a new helmet a few weeks ago. Although I will say this: I wasn't a fan of the foam in the 4500, or the fit. S9 was out of my price range so I didn't try it. I got the V08 and love it. Comfortable foam, seems pretty protective, fit my head the best. I'm not an expert but it may be the highest level helmet for the lowest price in that group. Someone correct me if I'm wrong

well yes obviously ive tried them on and like all three thats why im looking for other opinions on them. Thanks Anubis79

only you can know what fits your head best. every helmet is going to have a slightly different fit, pick what feels best

Are you wearing a visor or a cage or nothing? Air you looking for better airflow, increased protection, comfort, or a light helmet?

Or do you just want to know which helmet will give you durty steeze?

LOL in all seriousness I would go with the V08, a buddy of mine has one, says the airflow is very good, and MSH did name it as the best helmet of either 2008 or 2009, I forget which.

As for the 4500, it seems the newer helmets improve on it in protection. As for the Easton Stealth...I just don't like them, so I can't give you a reasonable review or reccomendation on them.

'08 8K is $94 on hockey monkey. i've spent $200 on this helmet twice, and would do it a third time. best helmet i ever used... if you're a small, large or xl, you're getting a deal and a half (if you dont mind a color other than black).

Bauer 5500 is my favorite and has been for years now. Plus those new straight cut Bauer visors look great on them. If it fits on you...go for that one!

Bauer 5100 is a nice helmet for the $$ as well.

The Bauer 5100 or CCM V08 are both great helmets, i had an S9 and i thought it wasnt very good and gave me headaches

Totally agree. I picked up my 8k at Perani's for like $85 during Christmas but had to get it in white. Most comfy helmet I've had. My previous helmet was a s9 and while I like the looks more with the s9, the 8k's protection and comfort make it one of my best purchases

Seriously, only YOU can decide this.

The most important thing is that it fits properly and is comfortable.
