Vapor VIII Stick

Recommended Posts

Can someone tell me what year these sticks came out, what they were like and how much they would go for now (unused)? I wasn't playing a couple years ago and since I just got back into it last year I never heard of these.

Wasn't 6 the low end model originally? 8 Sounds like a SMU to me. I can't remember though, haven't be in retail that long. Although i do remember playing with a 20.

Retail would probably be 70ish. I doubt you could get more than 40 out of it today.

I just have a chance to pick up two and want to know what I should offer the guy.

Edit: I figured that if Vapor XXV's are going for like $60 now would $30 be a good price for one of these?

I'd offer 50 for both. For current sticks right now, this is going to be closest to a X20 or your vapor16. You'll get more stick for your money if you went with 25s, however you'd only get one instead of two. If he'd take 50 for both though i'd take that instead of a 25.

That was my exact thinking and so I offered him $25 for each. Only issue is I havent seen too many XXV's in righty with P88 since they have all be on clearance for so long.

Vapor VIIIs looked so nice when they were still around, but Vapor Vs were my favourite, I used to dream of getting one.

I'd also give around $25-30 each, not that great a stick these days probably but 2 for $50 would still be actually a pretty sweet deal.

Thanks a lot guys. I'll see what he says and maybe I'll have a couple extra sticks to knock around with.

Edit: Well he wouldn't go for it. He wanted $40 each and his reasoning was that was what his cost was 4 years ago...hahaha. Last time I checked if you bought something 4 years ago and is now outdated and your looking to sell to recoup some of your costs, you usually sell at a lose not a break even.

tell him if he changes his mind in the next few months (probably how long they will continue to be there) then you'll be glad to take them off his hands for $50 total lol.
