Anyone know why he spray painted over the logos? I know the NHL has licensing stuff, but does the IIHF? And did Brians opt out? (It looks like hes got the new Focus pads on)

It's being discussed in the player Gear Sightings thread, short answer is there's a fee similar to the NHL's that wasn't paid. Switzerland's gloves were blacked out for the same reason.
