Baseball glove oil on palms?

Recommended Posts

I have a pair of 2008 Easton S17 gloves : ES17G-BK-big.jpg

that have some kinda synthetic leather palm (the grey part). They always harden up after a game/practise and i have to wet them a bit before they are more comfortable. I have a bottle of Easton baseball glove oil and I was wondering if I could use that on the palms to soften them up.

Baseball glove oil will make the gloves heavy. Don't do it. If you want to try something that you would use on a baseball glove, try shaving cream and make sure it has lanolin in it. If your gloves crap out, I am not responsible!

The oils will likely do nothing for a synthetic palm, nor will the lanolin.

In my experience, stiff palms like that get soft again almost immediately when you get on the ice and get a little sweat in 'em.

If i had cash to spare, then I'd like to try this MSH2 palm that everyone raves about. On a nother note, yes it does soften after a while, but I still dont relaly like syn leather for palms, not enough feel for the stick.
