Palm durability CCM 4 rolls versus bauer 4 rolls

Recommended Posts

I've tried both on and the fit of the bauer 4 roll is more to my liking, and the palm is soft and very mobile; however, the ccm pro 4 rolls palm seem extremely durable, even though they aren't the best fitting for me. I've read great reviews on the bauer 4 rolls palm, but i haven't been able to find anything about the ccms. Do you think the bauer palms will be able to last as long as the ccms?

While I wasn't an overall fan of the Bauer 4 rools due to them being a bit too roomy for my hands. (My fault obviously) The palm on the gloves is extremely durable I use them for dryland stickhandling and shooting all the time and they are still going strong. I think the Durasoft palm is exactly what it's name implies, Durable yet soft.

I used them in competitive play for a year, and still sometimes sport them with my teams away Jersey just because they go well. I have been using them for about 2 and a half years in total if you include dryland training. The top hand is starting to show some wear but not too much, and my bottom hand is showing very little wear.

I went through my first pair of ccm v08 palms in about 5 months.

I had my first pair of 4-Rolls for three years (approx) and never got a hole in the palms, playing 5-6 times a week with them. Most durable palm I've ever had. So impressed, I bought another pair.

If you still want a look at the CCM 4-roll palms, you can check out the thread I started a while back: http://www.modsquadhockey.com/forums/index...=ccm+4-roll+pro

At the bottom of the first page, I updated the thread with pictures showing the wear of the palms over four months of play. They've been holding up pretty well, and I'm sure that a full season wouldn't change much.

Awesome. Thanks alot guys. I plan on going with the bauer 4 rolls, mostly because i like the mobility in the cuff more than the CCMs, and the bauers have great reviews. Thanks again I appreciate it.

Ive had both, I did not like the ccm pro4 palms at all after they got broken in they became very slippery when wet, my ccms also did not hold up very well all around lots of cuts and fraying. I had the new pro4's not the older ccm 4 roll tacks like they 892's they were tanks
