anyone have or owned a Itech FX50 combo ?

I bought a used one to try out what a combo feels like. I have a cage on my NBH 4500 L. When i went to instal the combo the holes on the front of the helmet were to narrow for the Itech combo. Is there a special connector I can attach to get this combo on? LMK and thanks in advance!

When you bought the used FX50 did it come with the little attachment piece? :S

It would be black with a hole for the screws on both sides and a latch where you attach the visor/cage onto. The hole slits on the attachment piece are short, but wide so you get some play when you screw it onto the helmet.

i tried checking out some online stores and clicking "helmet accessories" but with no luck. a quick search on the internet and couldnt find it.

all i can recommend is to go to a LHS and ask if they have a spare attachment piece. I also have the FX50 and found that when the slot of the clip where the visor connects to started getting too "played" out, i went to a LHS that didnt even sell the cage and they still had the piece for sale which i bought for like 2 bucks.

so hopefully you can just call the LHS ahead of time and describe what youre looking for. do you live near and prohockey life stores?

Im in oklahoma... went to shop and no dice.. I guess what i could use is something close to an L bracket... anyone know where i can find one?

Are you referring to the little L shaped black clips that go on the sides? If so, I've got a pair from my old helmet that once had the combo on it.

I'm not using it so you can actually have the clips if those are what you need. The catch is — I need to get the helmet from a friend that is borrowing it.

nope not the brackets that the visor bars sit in.... i mean i would need a bracket that mounts the top of the visor.

Isn't it the same 'system' Bauer uses on the X/DX 100 now? Itech had this piece/plate on their half shields too...you may check this out, just a though, not sure..

those "L" screw clips dont work for the fx50. those are for full cages. unless im missing something, this is the cage you have correct?

If that is what you indeed have all you need is the side mounting J clips, which are thicker for this once compared to cage clips, and also you need the front mounting piece. I have a spare one if needed, just let me know if this is what you indeed have and need.

the bauer x/dx100 and the former itech fx50 use different front clips. essentially the fx50 visor.cage combo is connected to the helmet only through the mounting piece that goes in front of the helmet. it snaps on and off the bracket, where the bracket is the one screwed onto the helmet.
