Bauer Heel curves

I would say, you should go with what you want. Do not go with what everyone else likes. I have made that mistake before, it doesn't go well most of the time. You know what you like, just run with it! :)

PERSONALLY, Im going with no grip. Tactile, 87 flex USA colors P91a. My stealth now is 100flex, but I don't have the muscle mass to get the full loading so Im going down one level.

are you tall? I'm only 5' 7'' So I'm all about the 75 flex on Eastons and I cut em to about 77. I guess stock 77 flex on Bauer isnt bad and when cut down it'll be about an 80. Thats not a problem what so ever for me. I'm not light anyways.

Perhaps I should just go with sick'um grip like I had on my last sick because I already know that i like it.

Bauers seem to stiffen up quicker than Eastons. Example, according to the measurements shown on the sticks my 100 flex Easton S19 and 87 flex Bauer One95 are both about a 105 after cutting.

I forgot this would be an issue if you cut your sticks or add length. I love my Bauer's due to the fact that it is the rated flex at the uncut length. I bought a 100 flex easton and did not realize that in order for it to be 100 flex you have to cut it down to 57 inches! If you cut a Bauer that much you will increase the flex somewhere in the neighborhood of 10! So figure out how much you will cut off and go from there.

I have 2 p106 sticks. I'm thinking about trying the 91a.

The reason that I like the p91a better than my p106 is the blade length and the lie! I feel like I can really stretch out the stick and it is still relatively flat on the ice. But with the p106 I feel like the toe is pointed straight up in the air when I am skating full out. Plus I love the fact that it feels like I am stickhandling with a straight blade once I got used to the wedge...and backhand shots are money! Oh and slap shots too! I guess I should stop experimenting and just stick with p91a's!

Totally dude. My buddies hate the way the pattern looks and like to joke that I'll have no backhand with that wedge. THE REST OF THE BLADE IS STRAIGHT lol! mad nice for back hands and forehand accuracy yo. Get the spin on the puck right at the heel and point at target. Boom!

I have a P14 on the way. I have never tried the curve but it reminds me of my Sherwood Macinnis I used as a kid so I ordered it up. Pretty sure the next stick will be a P91a and the one after that as well!

Hey, not wanting to start a new topic and Search didn't really help. I just placed my order the other day for a MyBauer stick. The site says 3-5 weeks for delivery. Rather broad. Anyone here order from them or the old NikeBauer I.D.? What was your turnaround time?

Just got the e-mail confirming that my Stick has been shipped.... from Jiaxing China. Did I really just pay for a custom stick to be made in China?

Yes, you did. But don't worry, your skates were probably made right across the street from where the stick was, your gloves down the road, and your shinnies just around the bend in Vietnam.

Our country is made in China. On a side note, to save creating a new thread, do lies actually represent a physical measurment from the stick, or are they just arbitrary numbers to guide you as to which ones are more perpendicular and which more parallel to the ground? For ex. is a 6 lie supposed to mean theres a 6 degree angle somewhere? Or that at standard length, the butt end would intersect a vertical pole at 6 feet or something? Cant really think of what the number would denote, but im interested to know if it does.

The numbers are supposed to correspond with a number of degrees of the angle of the blade to the shaft. Companies have differing methods for where and exactly how they measure it so there doesn't appear to be a true industry standard.

The 21st. LOL I googled Jiaxing too. I found out in school during a presentation. I was getting a link out of my e-mail and I saw the "shipping confirmed" and my whole class didn't realize why I was so excited.

My only issue with it being shipped from China means I'm still going to wait another week and a half, but I won't complain. Definitely excited.
